Xmas in Panama?

So, this is the 2nd year in a row I will be traveling on the 25th of December, and certainly I am loving it.
Panama gets so hectic and chaotic that at the end I don't get in the mood of going to the awfully crowded malls and standing for hours in traffic jams....I feel that the xmas seasons I lived 10 years ago are not longer the same...
You might say that xmas is the time for spending with family and perhaps you are right. But it is not only during december 24th, 25th and 31st the only days during the year you have to absolutely be with your family and show how much you love them. People are wrong. You have 365 days per year to show your love...not only on december. And since my parents love me so much, they totally understand why Im starting to love traveling during this season. It feels magical..
Panamanians love consumerism and that shows. Panamanians love cooking turkey, jam, rice with guandule, pototao salad and tamales and drinking eggnog (disgusting to me), and I like it too. Who doesn't? but why not doing something different? Pizza, sancocho or just salads? I dunno, its just me and my idea of being different...why to do the same thing over the years? Why not a BBQ?
Anyway, these are my thoughts and just what I think.
Last year I spent my holidays in Cancun and Playa del Carmen and I will dedicate a whole diary for this trip. This year, the destination will be Costa Rica with some beloved friends. Lets see what Santa will bring this year. Im super excited.
Merry Xmas to all of you sweeties and May God Bless you ALL!

Cheers,
